About Me

I live in Tokyo and have enjoyed saltwater lure fishing for 10 years, mainly on Tokyo Bay and Sagami Bay. I've never been comfortable handling bait, and I was drawn into this world by the depth of sport fishing — hooking fish on lures. I write this site for people who are about to start, or have just started, saltwater lure fishing. I break down jargon and spec differences as much as I can so it helps you choose gear. Whether it's my first try at a new target or one of those days where nothing goes right, I write honestly, without trying to look good. My creed is to share the real feel of gear I have actually used, with no favors to anyone.

• Fishing experience: 10 years (first fished as a kid, thanks to my father)
• Favorite styles: yellowtail casting / jigging / tai-rubber / ebing
• Main waters: Tokyo Bay, Sagami Bay, Sotobo (outer Boso Peninsula)
